All toilets
A Housing Works Bookstore Cafe (3.67/5)
No problem using this facility, go past counter and stairs and make a right. Spacious clean bathrooms. This store provides direct services for homeless New Yorkers living with AIDS/HIV. Ways to help: Rent the space, donate books, become a volunteer or shop!
B McDonalds on Varick (4.67/5)
Pretty impressive for a McDonalds. Faux-marble, single occupancy, and actually clean! And none of that show-me-a-receipt-to-access-the-toilet nonsense. Enter on Downing street instead of Varick to avoid anyone at the counter. Although nobody seemed to mind I was solely there to take a McWiz.
C Broadway Bubbles (4.00/5)
The toilet is for people doing their laundry but nobody cares if someone just goes in to use it.
D Uniqlo (4.00/5)
Clean, large bathroom with minimal signage so most customers are unaware of the publicly available restroom. Head all the way to the back where you'll see the large staircase leading downstairs. Make a left once you reach the basement floor, and you'll be on your way to one of the cleanest restrooms available in SoHo.
E Filene's Basement (3.33/5)
Go down stairs to basement level.
F The New Leafe Cafe (3.67/5)
Technically in the basement of the new leafe cafe, you can access the public toilets by snaking to the left of the restaurant entrance heading down the stone steps and entering through first door on the right. A pretty sneaky place to put a toilet, and makes a day in the park much more comfortable.
G Times Square Information Center (5.00/5)
http://www.timessquarenyc.org/about_us/info_center.html
Separate men's and women's room are on the right as you enter the building. If the door is locked, you can get the key from one of the desks inside the main hall of the visitor's center.
H Betheseda Fountain (2.67/5)
Access by stairs; toilet paper, no soap.
I Loeb Boat House (1.00/5)
Public restrooms, next to restaurant and boat rental, toilet paper but no soap
J Gay Men's Health Crisis (5.00/5)
One of the best kept bathroom secrets (pssst, you don't have to be gay to enter) - 8 floors of hardly used bathrooms. 119 entrance is the men's and unisex bathroom side. 125 entrance is the women's but anyone can enter from either side. Floors 2,5 and 6 least used. Floors 4,7,8,9, and 12 used more but still never a line and always clean. Mon-Thur they serve lunch to clients so the 119 elevators go express to 12th floor from 11 - 1.
